The Emergency Department at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital needed a secure web site through which information could be made available to students, residents, attending physicians, and administrators, both on and off site.
In cooperation with the Carilion Health System Technical Services Group, a document management program was developed that allows administrators and attending physicians with administration access to post messages and documents to the site.
The username and password given to each user determines the type of information to which that user has access so documents can be posted for one population that may not be appropriate for another.
